24. Expresses its gratitude and appreciation to the Governments, organizations and individuals that have contributed to the United Nations Voluntary Fund for Victims of Torture

We undertake to operationalize the World Solidarity Fund established by the General Assembly, including by making voluntary contributions to it

First, the Governments of Qatar, China and India pledged donations at the Summit to launch a South fund for development and humanitarian assistance.

With respect to the implementation of the Agreement, we encourage States to make additional contributions to the Assistance Fund under Part VII of the Agreement.

22. Expresses its gratitude and appreciation to the Governments, organizations and individuals that have already contributed to the United Nations Voluntary Fund for Victims of Torture

Appeals to Member States to pledge annual donations, within their capabilities, to the ISF budget and contribute to the budget of the Waqf Fund.

We have also established a Feed the Nation Fund, through which people in Malawi from all walks of life are making voluntary donations to purchase food for the poorest of the poor.

14. Decides to establish a voluntary fund to support the participation of non governmental organizations and experts from developing countries, in particular from the least developed countries, and invites Governments, civil society and the private sector to contribute to the voluntary fund

6. Requests the Secretary General, in order to facilitate contributions by Governments, to include the United Nations Trust Fund on Family Activities, on an annual basis, among the programmes for which funds are pledged at the United Nations Pledging Conference for Development Activities

With regard to the victims of terrorism, the Government of Iraq supports the establishment, under the auspices of the United Nations, of an international voluntary fund for victims of terrorism and suggests to involve civil society organizations and all humanitarian organizations in a global programme for the rehabilitation of victims of terrorism.

As a first step, cash donations were made to the countries affected.

However, at the third and final session of the intergovernmental meeting of experts, a consensus could not be reached on whether funding for the secretariat of the Conference of Parties should be derived from a voluntary fund or from the regular budget of UNESCO.

I invite and encourage all Member States to make contributions to the United Nations Voluntary Fund for Disability in order to continue the valuable work of promoting and advancing the equalization of opportunities for persons with disabilities.

The programme budget is funded mainly from special purpose funds (earmarked voluntary funds) and the support budget from general purpose voluntary contributions.

(d) In operative paragraph 4, the words Calls upon Member States to make voluntary contributions would be replaced by the words Also encourages Member States to make voluntary contributions

Voluntary contributions are expected to cover about 95 per cent of total budget volume for 2006 2007, of which 72 per cent are cash contributions to the GF, 20 per cent cash contributions to projects, and about three per cent are in kind contributions.

In the period under review, no contributions were received.

Trust Fund donations totalled 19.8 million.

(ii) Inviting industry to pledge to the fund

Other resources contributions, especially for relief and rehabilitation activities, remain difficult to project, and thus represent the most volatile component of UNICEF contributions.

Expresses its appreciation to those Member States that have contributed to the Voluntary Fund to support the activities of the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda, and invites Member States to continue making voluntary contributions to the Tribunal both in cash and in the form of services and supplies acceptable to the Secretary General

And I recommend that Member States consider building on one of this Organization's clear strengths by setting up a 1 billion voluntary fund to allow us to bring rapid and effective relief to the victims of sudden disasters, whether natural or man made.

Urge Member States to adopt, in the General Assembly, the recommendation of the Economic and Social Council to establish a voluntary fund for minorities to facilitate and encourage the participation of minority representatives in minority related activities, including the Working Group on Minorities

In its resolution 46 122 of 17 December 1991, the General Assembly established the United Nations Voluntary Trust Fund on Contemporary Forms of Slavery, which receives voluntary contributions from Governments, non governmental organizations (NGOs), other private and public entities and individuals.
