Jehud, Bene Berak, Gath Rimmon,

And Jehud, and Bene berak, and Gath rimmon,

That church was destroyed on March 10, 1750, by a lightning strike.

The sun and moon stood still in the sky, at the light of your arrows as they went, at the shining of your glittering spear.

Yet when the eyes are dazzled ,

So when the eyes will be blinded by light .

But when the sight is dazed

When , then , the sight shall be confounded .

When the eye is bewildered ,

So when the sight becomes dazed ,

But on that Day , when mortal sight is confounded ,

At length , when the sight is dazed ,

And then suddenly, bang! A universe appears, an entire universe.

As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, like the appearance of torches the fire went up and down among the living creatures and the fire was bright, and out of the fire went forth lightning.

As for the ( tribe of ) Thamud , We tried to guide them , but they preferred blindness to guidance then they were seized by the torment of a humiliating punishment as requital for their misdeeds

And regarding the Thamud , We showed them the right path so they chose to be blind above being guided , therefore the thunderbolt of the disgraceful punishment overcame them the recompense of their deeds .

As for Thamood , We guided them , but they preferred blindness above guidance , so the thunderbolt of the chastisement of humiliation seized them for that they were earning .

And as for the tribe of the Thamud We guided them but they preferred blindness to the guidance , wherefore the bolt of the torment of abjection laid hold of them because of that which they had been earning .

And as for Thamud , We showed and made clear to them the Path of Truth ( Islamic Monotheism ) through Our Messenger , ( i.e. showed them the way of success ) , but they preferred blindness to guidance , so the Sa 'iqah ( a destructive awful cry , torment , hit , a thunderbolt ) of disgracing torment seized them , because of what they used to earn .

And as for Thamood , We guided them , but they preferred blindness over guidance . So the thunderbolt of the humiliating punishment seized them , because of what they used to earn .

As for Thamud , We bestowed guidance upon them , but they preferred to remain blind rather than be guided . At last a humiliating scourge overtook them on account of their misdeeds .

And as for Thamud , We gave them guidance , but they preferred blindness to the guidance , so the bolt of the doom of humiliation overtook them because of what they used to earn .

As for the people of Thamud , We guided them , but they preferred blindness to guidance . So the bolt of a humiliating punishment seized them because of what they used to earn .

As for Thamood , We ( offered ) them Our Guidance , but they preferred blindness to guidance . So a thunderbolt of the humiliating punishment seized them because of what they had earned

And as for Thamud , We guided them , but they preferred blindness over guidance , so the thunderbolt of humiliating punishment seized them for what they used to earn .

We sent guidance to the people of Thamud but they preferred blindness to guidance so a humiliating blast of torment struck them for their evil deeds .

And as to Samood , We showed them the right way , but they chose error above guidance , so there overtook them the scourge of an abasing chastisement for what they earned .

As for the Thamud We offered them Our guidance , but they preferred blindness to guidance . So the lightning bolt of the punishment of humiliation seized them on account of their misdeeds .

As to the Thamud , We gave them Guidance , but they preferred blindness ( of heart ) to Guidance so the stunning Punishment of humiliation seized them , because of what they had earned .

But they were seized by the mighty blast towards the morning

And all that they had done ( for security ) availed them nothing .

So the scream overcame them at morning .

Therefore their earnings did not in the least benefit them .

and the Cry seized them in the morning

that they earned did not avail them .

Then the shout took hold of them in the early morn .
