The travel ban will be helped by the increasing accuracy and relevance of the List, and by closer cooperation with Interpol, but it will require considerable international effort to solve the problem of false and stolen documents.

The Monitoring Group will continue to work with IMO to bring some of these projects to fruition, with a view to ensuring safety for the Somali coastline and to improving in particular the enforcement of the arms embargo violations along the coastline.
