Our work on transitional justice is being developed in the context of the Secretary General's first report to the Security Council on the rule of law and transitional justice in conflict and post conflict societies (S 2004 616).

Based on the 2005 report of the Commission, A call for justice , an action plan for peace, justice and reconciliation was developed to implement a national strategy for transitional justice.

According to the Secretary General's report, the United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) and the Provisional Institutions of Self Government have taken some positive measures and have achieved some positive results in the implementation of standards in certain areas.
