During his interrogation, Mr. Al Tamimi was allegedly ill treated. No consideration was given to his physical disability.

Sami was mistreated.

(f) On 4 May 1998, the author filed a complaint with the Oviedo prison supervision court, alleging that he had been the victim of ill treatment.

There, he was subjected to maltreatment and was held incommunicado until 26 October 1990, when his lawyer was able to visit him.

2.3 In early January 1999 the complainant was detained at a police station, where he was ill treated and threatened with death.

30. It appears that detainees in these centres were subject to ill treatment and torture, including beatings and electrocutions.

(g) Alleged reprisals, intimidation and threats against persons reporting acts of torture and ill treatment

Throughout the reporting period staff members have been attacked, injured, kidnapped, abused and harassed in the performance of their duties.

The Committee shall inform the State party that it shall take all appropriate steps to ensure that individuals under its jurisdiction are not subjected to ill treatment or intimidation as a consequence of participating in any hearings in connection with an inquiry or with meeting the designated members of the Committee conducting the inquiry.

70. Over the years, thousands of women and girls have been subjected to sexual violence and other forms of abuse.

They may have fled, may be subject to abuse or exploitation and therefore cannot enjoy any of the guarantees that a State should be able to provide to its citizens.

The nationals of countries that had collaborated with the Iraqi regime during the occupation of Kuwait, and more particularly Palestinians, had not been subjected to ill treatment or discrimination.
