Indeed, despite the difficulties they face, farmers are doing much to adapt to climate change and also to mitigate its effects. Farmer initiatives to mitigate and adapt to climate change exist.

Farmers also adopt other crop management strategies to mitigate climate change impacts.

Participants at the workshop exchanged views and experiences on a range of activities relating to these technologies including concepts needs for, and identification and evaluation of, technologies for adaptation and lessons learned.

The SBSTA may wish to endorse the proposed technical guidance and forward a draft decision for adoption by the Conference of the Parties at its eleventh session, recommending a decision for adoption by the COP MOP at its first session.

The Subsidiary Body for Implementation is invited to recommend, for adoption by the COP at its eleventh session, a draft decision proposing the continuation of the current arrangements and inviting the Secretary General of the United Nations to seek the endorsement of this continuation by the General Assembly until a review is deemed necessary by either the Parties or the General Assembly.

The numbering of decisions will be added in the final report of the COP MOP.
