It reviews privileges and immunities in the context of the United Nations and the climate change process, and outlines a number of options for consideration by the COP MOP in its determination of whether and how members, alternates and experts of constituted bodies should be provided with the necessary privileges and immunities to carry out their functions under the Kyoto Protocol, and what process should be put in place to settle disputes brought by third parties.

Participants at the workshop exchanged views and experiences on a range of activities relating to these technologies including concepts needs for, and identification and evaluation of, technologies for adaptation and lessons learned.

The SBSTA may wish to endorse the proposed technical guidance and forward a draft decision for adoption by the Conference of the Parties at its eleventh session, recommending a decision for adoption by the COP MOP at its first session.

The Subsidiary Body for Implementation is invited to recommend, for adoption by the COP at its eleventh session, a draft decision proposing the continuation of the current arrangements and inviting the Secretary General of the United Nations to seek the endorsement of this continuation by the General Assembly until a review is deemed necessary by either the Parties or the General Assembly.

The numbering of decisions will be added in the final report of the COP MOP.
