The majority of extensionists, supervisors, and rural extensionists are male, and this is given to the fact that there are more vacancies for men in vocational training courses than there are for women.

Today, in addition to women and adolescents, we work with 30 transvestites here in the area, distributing materials, scheduling exams at the health clinics, offering vocational courses and attending to some of their requests.

For example, health studies courses in vocational institutions brought up gender equality in dealing with such topics as hygiene, workplace safety, organization of work and relations between staff.
