The Conference had before it a note by the secretariat on the status of implementation of the Rotterdam Convention by Parties and participating States (UNEP FAO RC COP.2 6).

IFAD will also prepare a Llearning Nnote on the UNCCD to draw lessons from relevant country and project case studies to facilitate mainstreaming of the objectives of the Convention.

See paragraph 14 and 15 of the draft memorandum of understanding between the Council of the Global Environment Facility and Conference of the Parties of the Stockholm Convention (UNEP POPS COP.1 19).

The draft MOU was considered at the first Stockholm COP in May 2005 and adopted with minor changes.
