The Fund follows a policy of broad diversification of its investments by type of security, industry groups, countries and currencies.

South Korea, Brazil, and other emerging market countries are also attractive diversification investments, causing their currencies to appreciate.

Secondary investments provide institutional investors with the ability to improve vintage diversification, particularly for investors that are new to the asset class.

But, again, a broader investor pool is likely to reduce the average number of investments per investor, with inadequate diversification leading to many more losers than winners.

The main advantage for firms in tapping the market for dynamic products is that diversification into these products or specialization in them does not necessarily require huge investments.

52. A major constraint to promoting diversification is a lack of technically and economically viable diversification projects.
