لم ندرس تلك الاتفاقيات قط، ولم نتسلم منها نسخة لكي نطلع عليها أو نتعرف على محتواها.
Before them We tested the people of Pharaoh a noble messenger came to them .
ولقد فتنا بلونا قبلهم قوم فرعون معه وجاءهم رسول هو موسى عليه السلام كريم على الله تعالى .
Do people think they will not be tested because they say , We have faith ?
أحسب الناس أن يتركوا أن يقولوا أي بقولهم آمنا وهم لا يفتنون يختبرون بما يتبين به حقيقة إيمانهم ، نزل في جماعة آمنوا فآذاهم المشركون .
Before them We tested the people of Pharaoh a noble messenger came to them .
ولقد اختبرنا وابتلينا قبل هؤلاء المشركين قوم فرعون ، وجاءهم رسول كريم ، وهو موسى عليه السلام ، فكذبوه فهلكوا ، فهكذا نفعل بأعدائك أيها الرسول ، إن لم يؤمنوا .
Do people think they will not be tested because they say , We have faith ?
أظ ن الناس إذ قالوا آمنا ، أن الله يتركهم بلا ابتلاء ولا اختبار
He said , We have tested your people in your absence , and the Samarian misled them .
قال تعالى فإنا قد فتنا قومك من بعدك أي بعد فراقك لهم وأضلهم السامري فعبدوا العجل .

وما أرسلنا في قرية من نبي فكذبوا إلا أخذنا عاقبنا أهلها بالبأساء شدة الفقر والضر اء المرض لعلهم يض ر عون يتذللون فيؤمنون .
To every town that We sent a Prophet , We tested its inhabitants through distress and adversity so that perhaps they would submit themselves to Us .
وما أرسلنا في قرية من نبي يدعوهم إلى عبادة الله ، وينهاهم عم ا هم فيه من الشرك ، فكذ به قومه ، إلا ابتليناهم بالبأساء والضراء ، فأصبناهم في أبدانهم بالأمراض والأسقام ، وفي أموالهم بالفقر والحاجة رجاء أن يستكينوا ، وينيبوا إلى الله ، ويرجعوا إلى الحق .

واجتازه 10 مرشحين من الـ 40 مرشحا المختبرين وهذا يمثل معدل نجاح قدره 25 في المائة من المختبرين.
