Four panel discussions on thematic topics and two interactive dialogues on global issues were organized during the session.

At its thirtieth session, held on 14 16 December 1998, the Governing Council of the Commission appointed Messrs. Luiz Olavo Baptista (Chairman), Jean Naudet and Jianxi Wang as the second Panel of Commissioners charged with reviewing E4 claims (the E4A' Panel ).

It was particularly pleased that the second session of the Forum had included a high level panel and dialogue on indigenous children and youth.

The General Assembly also welcomed an offer from Bhutan to convene a panel discussion on the theme of happiness and well being during its 66th session, which opens this month.
