Moreover, we are very pleased that, under your presidency, Madam, the Security Council will be making a major contribution to the reform of the United Nations.

Madam, it is true that by writing to you I already find myself in a compromising situation a man preaching to the First Lady about a daily topic.

As I wrote to you, Madam President, on 24 May, our country continues to face an armed insurgency, including foreign elements opposed to Iraq's transition to democratic rule.

To go back to UNOCI, we fully share the view of Madam Louise Fréchette, the United Nations Deputy Secretary General, on the sensitive situation of the Operation in Côte d'Ivoire.

Mr. Motoc (Romania) Madam President, I would like first to state our satisfaction at seeing the personal involvement of the Foreign Minister in steering this important meeting initiated by Denmark.

First, however, allow me, Madam President, to take this opportunity to extend the appreciation of my delegation for the convening of this meeting in connection with the subject of post conflict peacebuilding.

She stated that she paid 3,000 reais (about 1,400 US dollars) for her 400 ml implants because she was an acquaintance of the madam and she stayed eight months working in São Paulo to pay off her debt.

Prince Zeid Ra'ad Zeid Al Hussein May I congratulate you, Madam, and the members of the Security Council on preparing an excellent draft presidential statement on the subject of sexual exploitation and abuse in United Nations peacekeeping operations.

Mr. Maurer (Switzerland) (spoke in French) Madam President, I would first of all like to congratulate you on the skill and commitment with which your country has conducted the presidency of the Security Council during the month of May 2005.

Mr. Bennouna (Morocco) (spoke in French) On behalf of the Moroccan delegation, I wish at the outset to thank you, Madam President, for your initiative to convene this debate on a question of such importance to the international community peacebuilding.

Before I turn briefly to the most recent developments, where the work of the General Assembly is concerned, and what lies ahead of us, I would like, with your permission, Madam, to offer just a few observations that I believe deserve specific mention.

Mr. Vassilakis (Greece) Thank you very much, Madam President, and congratulations for taking the initiative of organizing today's debate on post conflict peacebuilding, an issue of great interest for the United Nations and of paramount importance to many nations in the world.

Croker King, who wrote a history of the hospital in 1785, makes no mention of it, nor is there any suggestion of it in the newspaper accounts of the death of Madam Steevens, or the published account of the hospital in the eighteenth century.

Mr. Nesho (Albania) Madam President, at the outset, on behalf of my Government, allow me to welcome the Foreign Minister of Denmark, Mr. Per Stig Møller, who has been presiding over the Council at this very important meeting on the future of our region.

I therefore applaud you, Madam President, and the rest of the Council for taking this decisive action today, for you have brought us that much closer to removing this dreadful stain on the reputation of the United Nations generally and on United Nations peacekeeping in particular.

Mr. Zinsou (Benin) (spoke in French) Madam President, thank you for having organized this open debate on peacebuilding, a topic of great importance with respect to the goals and purposes of the United Nations and, in particular, with respect to the Security Council's primary responsibility for the maintenance of international peace and security.

Madam, if you invited every grandmother, mother, daughter, sister, girlfriend, fiancée or friend to not being a Woman for one day, just one if you all decided to go on strike against our falsely macho society, I think that not only would you be able to vote for your rights, but you can even lead our poor Lebanon towards save shores.

So I'm going to talk to the baby. So I say to the baby, holding my hand over my mouth because my breath must be 100 proof, I say to the baby, 'Sir or Madam, what is your considered opinion of the human species?' And the baby looks, you know, the way babies look at you clearly, starts laughing, starts busting out with this crazy little laugh.
