3. This Convention is open to accession by all Member States of the United Nations. Accession shall be effected by the deposit of an instrument of accession with the Secretary General.

I am pleased that yesterday, I signed the thirteenth counter terrorism convention and deposited with the Secretary General our instruments of accession to four of the counter terrorism conventions and major treaties on transnational organized crime.

Representatives of some of the States that had not yet become parties to the Organized Crime Convention and the Protocols thereto informed the Commission of the progress made towards the ratification of or accession to those legal instruments.

Any State may accede to this Agreement upon conditions established by the International Olive Council, acting through its Council of Members, which shall include a number of participation shares and a time limit for the deposit of the instruments of accession.
