After the addition of income in the amount of 184,000, the initial revised appropriation amounts to 329,501,900 gross ( 298,437,000 net).

We repeat the goal is only 0.7 per cent of gross national income.

Current earmarkings are based on gross national income (GNI) per capita for 2001.

However, taxable income in the sector is still growing at a slower rate than gross income as measured by national accounts.

Total gross expenditures under the operational budget ( 20,174,920) are similarly reduced by income ( 315,200).

As at 31 December 2004, expenditures incurred by UNMIK amount to 167,106,500 gross ( 155,809,800 net).

However, the amount given has amounted to a mere 0.25 per cent of the combined gross national income of countries that are members of the Development Assistance Committee of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.

The amount proposed, in gross terms, represents an increase of 29,132,900, or 24 per cent ( 26,890,200 in net terms), over the total amount approved for the period from 1 July 2004 to 30 June 2005 of 121,610,300 gross ( 105,237,900 net).

It's basically two ratios of per capita GDP, per capita gross domestic product, so average income.

Statistics on per capita or per income gross domestic product hide much more than they reveal.

Hence, my delegation welcomes the efforts of those donor countries that have achieved the 0.7 per cent target of gross national income as official development assistance (ODA), with 0.2 per cent of gross national income for the least developed countries.

The net requirements for the initial phase of UNOTIL would therefore amount to 7,491,600 gross ( 6,399,300 net).

The difference between gross and net emoluments is requested as a global amount under the present section.

The UK has pledged 0.7 of its gross national income, but is debating who will receive it.

Low income countries in the normal process of development, for example, receive steady inflows of official foreign assistance of about 3 of their gross national income.

For 2006 2007, the biennial budget estimates funded under regular resources amount to 746.8 million gross ( 556.8 million net), as compared to 674.0 million gross ( 517.6 net) for 2004 2005.

Also decides to appropriate an amount of 1,842,200 under section 34, Staff assessment, to be offset by a corresponding amount under income section 1, Income from staff assessment, of the programme budget for 2004 2005.

We are encouraged by efforts to meet the goal of 0.7 per cent of gross national income for ODA.

Five countries have reached the official development assistance (ODA) target of 0.7 per cent of gross national income (GNI).

Real per capita gross national income (GNI), in 1997 dollars, dropped by 33.4 per cent from 1,860 to 1,237.
