As with the Court as a whole, the Registry recognizes the importance of regular dialogue with partners.

In order to enable the Court to operate efficiently and to work in a web based environment, the Registry has established a number of information systems. The Registry has also undertaken comparative studies in relation to the establishment of the permanent premises of the Court.

As the Court develops, the Registry must ensure that the administrative structures meet the Court's needs.

The Registry also maintains a constructive dialogue with the host State on various aspects of the work of the Court.

The Registry was to officially begin court management services at the court facility on 31 January 2005 for both the organized crime and war crimes dockets.

Even though the District Court reversed its decision, the Registry was not corrected until January 1997, three months after Waldemar's appeal to the Circuit Court had been finally determined and denied by that Court.

2.3 On 1 June 1998, the author went to the court registry to examine her case file and requested copies of the transcript of the court hearing and decision of 5 February 1998.

The Registrar has held meetings at the seat of the Court with non governmental organizations on matters falling within the responsibilities of the Registry.

The new post resources are sought so as to enable the Registry to increase its capacity to support the increased workload of the Court.

The Registry has continued its efforts to raise awareness of the Court and its activities by organizing briefings, seminars and workshops at the seat of the Court for the media, professionals and students from various countries.

On 18 December 1995, the Plock District Court sent the author notice that the liquidation should be entered immediately into the Commercial Registry.

The Registry has strengthened the Court's public information capacity in order to support the implementation of outreach services in the countries where the Court is active.

In addition, the case was heard by the Commerce Law Division of the District Court as a registry case , allegedly in violation of applicable rules of Polish civil procedure.

7.11 Since the Court is both a judicial body and an international institution, its Registry must provide judicial support and also act as an international secretariat.

1. The competence of the Tribunal shall be extended to the staff of the Registry of the International Court of Justice upon the exchange of letters between the President of the Court and the Secretary General of the United Nations establishing the relevant conditions.

The Executive Board shall identify a registry administrator to maintain the registry under its authority.

The Court has modernized the organization of its Registry, reviewed and adapted its internal working methods, promulgated Practice Directions for the parties and even modified its Rules where necessary.

The Registry Office in the special Chamber of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Special Department in the Prosecutor Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina became operational in January 2005.

The Registry is currently providing support to the President of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Chief Prosecutor and the Minister of Justice of Bosnia and Herzegovina in many core functions.

5.2 The author submits that on hearing his motion to reopen the proceedings, both the Circuit Court and the Supreme Court focused on the distinctions between registry cases and  commercial cases , glossing over the due process issues highlighted by the author.

It is, moreover, surprising that they waited until they were informed by the court registry that hearings were to resume before making inquiries about the 6 October 1993 judgement.

The Presidency's administrative functions include both exercising managerial oversight of the Registry and ensuring the effective delivery of services by the Registry to the judiciary.

In pursuing its specific mandate, the Registry fully recognizes the importance of having sound national capacities and strong local networks in place in the countries where the Court is active in the field.

The Registry Office is responsible for the management and administration of the war crimes project (including the administration of the Registry, the Special Chamber and the Special Department).

The Office of the Registry for Sections I and II of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Special Departments of the Prosecutor for War Crimes and Organized Crime and Corruption became fully operational on 1 January.

The Registry has developed a legal aid scheme to ensure sufficient means for the defence and due respect for the rights of the accused, while maintaining transparency and accountability in the administration and control of Court resources.

Represents the Registry during the review of indictments by the Judges.

Severed complaints may receive a separate registry number.

Also in June, the Tribunal's Registry Liason Officer in Bosnia and Herzegovina gave a two hour briefing on the Tribunal to ten of the twelve Judges of the War Crimes Chamber of the State Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Registry has, inter alia, prepared the Court's yearly budget submissions, issued policies and rules such as the staff rules, ensured finalization of the courtrooms, concluded a range of contracts and implemented a procurement plan for the Court.

7.14 The provision under programme support relates to the common service requirements of the International Court of Justice and its Registry, including, in particular, the contribution of the United Nations to the Carnegie Foundation for use of the Peace Palace.
