The Colloquium will discuss the following topics

47th Colloquium on the Law of Outer Space

48th Colloquium on the Law of Outer Space

In November 2004, the Office of the Prosecutor hosted a successful colloquium of prosecutors of international criminal tribunals.

The aim of the colloquium was to discuss common problems, share ideas and solutions and adopt best practices.

(g) The 49th IISL Colloquium of the Law of Outer Space will be held in Valencia, Spain, in October 2006.

The world finals of the fourteenth Manfred Lachs Space Law Moot Court Competition will be held during the 48th Colloquium.

A total of twelve judicial officers from eight countries (Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay) attended the colloquium.

The 47th IISL Colloquium on the Law of Outer Space was held in Vancouver, Canada, from 4 to 8 October 2004.

The 48th IISL Colloquium on the Law of Outer Space will be held from 17 to 21 October 2005 in Fukuoka, Japan.

(a) The proceedings of the 46th Colloquium of the Law of Outer Space were published by the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics

The proceedings of the 47th Colloquium on the Law of Outer Space will be published by the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.

(oo) Sixth Multinational Judicial Colloquium sponsored by INSOL and UNCITRAL and the Seventh World Congress of INSOL International (Sydney, Australia 11 16 March 2005)

The theme of the Colloquium, to which he was invited by Conectas Human Rights and Sur Human Rights University Network, will be South South dialogue to strengthen human rights .

The term was used in 1976 when the First International Congress of Coptology was held in Cairo under the title Colloquium on the Future of Coptic Studies (11 17 December).

His delegation welcomed the discussion by the Commission of future work on insolvency law and would be pleased to take part in the colloquium to be held in November 2005.

The colloquium will bring together members of NHRIs, the judiciary, parliamentarians, NGOs, Government and the media to discuss strategies relating to implementation of treaty body recommendations at the national level.

Emphasizing the importance of the matter and the need to consult with representatives of the relevant industry and practice, the Commission recommended that a two to three day colloquium be held.

INSOL is willing to join with UNCITRAL in promoting the study and the discussion at a multinational colloquium to be convened in advance of a possible decision to establish a Working Group.

That consultation might take the form of a multinational colloquium, a forum used to good effect in developing both the Model Law on Cross Border Insolvency and the Legislative Guide on Insolvency Law.

In addition to the aforementioned missions to Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, the Special Rapporteur plans to participate in the fifth International Human Rights Colloquium, to be held in São Paulo, Brazil, from 8 to 15 October.

Also within the framework of the EU funded project, the NI Unit, in conjunction with the Treaties and Commission Branch, are organizing a judicial colloquium to be held in the African Region in October 2005.

The Award is made for the best paper presented at the IISL Colloquium by authors under the age of 40 years who have not published more than five papers in the proceedings of IISL Colloquiums.

The thirteenth Manfred Lachs Space Law Moot Court Competition was also held during the IISL Colloquium The case, concerning the commercialization of a space station, was written by A. Farand, R. Lee and F. von der Dunk.

Oct. 1995 Participation in a Colloquium organized by the Law Faculty of the University of Geneva on The United Nations and the International Humanitarian Law on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the United Nations, in Geneva.

The prize is awarded either at STOC (ACM Symposium on Theory of Computing, one of the main North American conferences in theoretical computer science) or ICALP (International Colloquium on Automata, Languages and Programming, one of the main European conferences in the field).

The judicial colloquium was facilitated by a former member and chairperson of the Human Rights Committee, who was at that time a judge of the Inter American Court of Human Rights, and by the same expert on international law from the Central American University who facilitated the training workshop.

In May 2005, as part of its technical cooperation programme, the Division convened a regional training workshop for government officials on reporting on and implementation of the Convention and on the use of the Optional Protocol, as well as a judicial colloquium on the application of international human rights law at the domestic level.

CARICOM was particularly heartened by the States that had become parties to the Convention in the past year. Various judicial and government officials of the region had recently participated in a colloquium on the application of international human rights law at the domestic level and in a training workshop for government officials responsible for preparing the reports of States parties.
