Tarjma can be used without an account. This page explains what data is processed when you visit the site and why.
What you type
Text typed in the keyboard, transliteration or translation tools is sent to our server only to produce the result and is not linked to you. Words searched in the dictionary may be added, without any personal information, to the list of entries we are preparing.
Cookies and local storage
We store your theme choice (light or dark) in your browser and set a small technical cookie that tells us your browser supports JavaScript. The translation tool uses a session cookie for security. These cookies contain no personal information.
Advertising
The site is funded by Google AdSense ads. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads, personalised or not depending on your choices. In the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, a consent message managed by Google lets you accept or refuse, and change your choice at any time with the “Privacy and cookie settings” link.
Audience statistics
We measure visits with Google Analytics (through Google Tag Manager) and StatCounter to know which pages are useful. These tools receive technical data such as the page visited, the browser and an approximate location.
Security and server logs
The site is protected and accelerated by Cloudflare. Like every web server, ours keeps technical logs (IP address, page requested, date) for a limited time to fight abuse and fix errors.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask for access to, correction or deletion of data concerning you, and object to its use. Use the contact form; we answer within one month. You can also complain to your data protection authority (CNIL in France).
