The beginning of the revision was mandated by the Statistical Commission in 1999 in conjunction with the ISIC revision. The revision of the CPC was conducted in two distinct steps.

That information would be no more than an estimate, as section 29 of the proposed programme budget had been withdrawn for revision and had not yet been presented to the General Assembly.

In the interests of efficiency I would like to read out the revision, rather than seeking yet another technical revision.

This revision is using a unique approach.

The Committee was informed that the legislative mandates did not require any revision to the programme narratives of the subprogrammes of the relevant sections of the proposed programme budget for the biennium 2006 2007.

With that revision, the Swiss proposal was adopted.

In paragraph 308 of the consolidated budget for 2004 2005, the Executive Director indicated that any revision resulting from the new working arrangement with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) would be reported to the Commission.

E. Status of the revision process of agricultural classifications

The text of the proposed revision read as follows

The estimates will therefore be subject to further revision based on the administrative budget of the Fund for 2006 2007 and on action to be taken by the General Assembly at its sixtieth session on the basis of such recommendations as the Standing Committee may make in 2005 with respect to that budget.

The first questionnaire, sent out in 2001, solicited general proposals for the CPC revision to develop a better understanding of countries' needs in the revision process.

The third enquiry in the present ISIC revision process provided, along with the questionnaire, a full detailed structure of the ISIC, Revision 4, complete with explanatory notes.

The proposed revision is currently under review at the Senate.

This may require a revision surgery (replacement of the prosthesis).

A user's guide is planned for the ISIC, Revision 4.

Procedure for revision or interpretation of a judgement or order

The proposed revision was not accepted by the other sponsors.

European leaders must therefore substantially increase research funding when the EU budget is next due for revision in 2008 and 2009. Although the core financial burden will be on the member states, the EU level can make an important contribution.

Revision of the office space requirements for the new office facilities

ESCAP participated in the revision process of the Principles and Recommendations.

We also note the revision of the Fund's terms of reference.

(c) Noted that the deadlines in the revision processes of the International Standard Industrial Classification and the Central Product Classification (CPC) were highly important for the revision processes of other classifications and urged that efforts be undertaken to also keep the revision of the Central Product Classification on schedule
