Symposium

The first symposium was held in Amman in March 2005 8 the second will be held in Beirut in December.

The symposium will be chaired by Ambassador Peter Jankowitsch of Austria.

The opening symposium in Tokyo was attended by 450 delegates and the scientific symposium in Tsukuba by 1,200 of the world's leading rice researchers and scientists

We hope that many States will be able to participate in that symposium.

It was then announced that a committee would be formed to prepare a draft of the working groups' recommendations, together with a statement, to be called the Cairo Declaration , which would be issued at the conclusion of the symposium.

In light of the discussions which took place in the symposium and the working groups, the participants have made the following recommendations

The aim of the colloquium was to discuss common problems, share ideas and solutions and adopt best practices.

The Committee endorsed the agreement of the Subcommittee that in 2006 the industry symposium would be held and the symposium organized by COSPAR and IAF would be suspended (A AC.105 848, annex I, para.

This seminar is to be held at Sana'a from 9 to 13 April 2005.

The Committee recalled its recommendation, made at its forty seventh session, to continue the practice of alternating each year the organization of the symposium by the Committee on Space Research (COSPAR) and IAF and the symposium to strengthen partnership with industry.

The seminar aimed to enhance regional dialogue and provide in depth training on key migration and asylum issues.

The symposium, held in Brussels, looked at the future of the rice crop in terms of improving its production and enhancing nutrition

Panellists described national efforts to achieve the MDGs, and the experience gained.

The Asian African Symposium on Renewable Energy urged the formulation of an action plan for the two regions covering the period 2005 2015.

In paragraph 12 of resolution 60 99, the General Assembly endorsed the recommendation of the Committee that the symposium to strengthen the partnership with industry should be organized during the first week of the forty third session of the Subcommittee and should address synthetic aperture radar missions and their applications.

At the seminar, the Monitoring Group played an active role in the discussions and was a member of one of the panels of discussions.

At its forty eighth session, the Committee had endorsed the recommendation of the Subcommittee that the symposium be held on the afternoon of the first day of the forty third session and that the full time available to the Subcommittee on that afternoon should be used for the symposium (A AC.105 848, annex I, para.

The gathering took place in the Center of Development Support in Cairo s upper class district of Dokki on June 12, 2011.

A review session was held to discuss the symposium's recommendations and final declaration, which were then adopted unanimously.

The first was convened in Amman in March 2005 in conjunction with the Arab Parliamentary Symposium on Legislating Disability Issues in the Arab World, where members of the Panel shared their country experiences with legislating on disability.

In addition, during the seminar, the Monitoring Group held meetings with representatives of the AU Peace and Security Council.

The Monitoring Group participated in the drafting of paragraph 4 (ix) of the official statement of the planning seminar, which was distributed at the conclusion of the seminar.

The symposium was entitled Building a Weapons of Mass Destruction Free Zone in the Middle East Global Non Proliferation Regimes and Regional Experiences .

The Working Group of the Whole recommended that the next symposium to strengthen the partnership with industry should address synthetic aperture radar missions and their applications.

Or are they planning a conspiracy ? The conspiracy will befall the disbelievers .

Or are they contriving a stratagem against you ? If so , that stratagem will rebound against the unbelievers .

Or seek they to ensnare ( the messenger ) ? But those who disbelieve , they are the ensnared !

Do they seek to outmaneuver Allah ? But it is the faithless who are the outmaneuvered ones !

Or , do they desire to outwit ? The unbelievers are the outwitted .

Or do they intend a plan ? But those who disbelieve they are the object of a plan .

Do they design evil plans ? The disbelievers themselves will be snared by their evil plots .

Or do they desire a war ? But those who disbelieve shall be the vanquished ones in war .

Do they want to hatch some plot ? Those who deny the truth will be the victims of the plot .

Or do they intend a plot ( against thee ) ? But those who defy Allah are themselves involved in a Plot !

The seminar brought together representatives of NHRIs and experts from around the world to discuss their experiences of how to measure the effectiveness of NHRIs.
