Acting on recommendations of the Committee on Information, the Department took additional measures to further publicize the work and decisions of the General Assembly.

(a) Committee on Finance Administration

Japan attaches great importance to such issues as development, the establishment of the peacebuilding commission and the human rights council, and reform of the Secretariat and management system.

It is recommended that the Committee of Experts on Public Administration, building upon this initial analysis of our approach, and supplementing it with its own perspectives, develop its own methodology for establishing the principles and foundations of public administration.

Notes with appreciation the efforts of the Department of Public Information to publicize the work and decisions of the General Assembly, encourages the Department to further strengthen its working relationship with the Office of the President of the General Assembly, and requests the Secretary General to report thereon to the Committee on Information at its twenty eighth session

(d) Management of administrative support services and monitoring of the management reform process and of the implementation by the Secretariat units located at Vienna of the Management Policy Committee directives and decisions in the field of management

The General Assembly, in several other paragraphs of the same resolution, called on the Department to provide specific information on a number of its activities to the Committee on Information.
