The entries in IMIS are only for headquarters based implementation and data on expenditure are downloaded every day from IMIS to ProFi.

Ongoing discussions have been held with the Finance and Budget Network of the High level Committee on improvements to the financial statements.

The improved maintenance of business registers and increased use of administrative data go a long way in reducing the response burden, improving the response rate of economic enquiries and minimizing the resources required for data collection.

Objective 2. As the interface enabling the electronic transfer of personnel data, such as from the Integrated Management Information System, has been implemented, efforts are ongoing to enhance the system so as to integrate more databases from all of the member organizations.

In the third quarter of 2005, the UNFPA Audit Services Branch performed an audit of the conversion of data from the integrated management information system (IMIS) to Atlas.

However, because not all sources (especially administrative sources) disaggregate data by ethnocultural origin, it is not possible to compare gender and ethnicity variables for the purposes of analysis and monitoring.

Certain amounts presented in the 2004 financial statements for purposes of comparison with 2003, in accordance with the United Nations system accounting standards, have been reclassified to conform with improved disclosure introduced in conjunction with the implementation of new accounting systems (Management Systems Renewal Project, PeopleSoft).
