In 2003, an evaluation of gender mainstreaming at UN Habitat was conducted by a consultant commissioned by the UN Habitat Evaluation Unit.

The GEO Cities methodology was developed by UNEP and regional partners to allow for integrated environmental assessment at the urban level.

Since the aim was enhanced coherence, they should be coordinated across the system with a view to producing joint evaluations of subprogrammes and country programmes and reporting on their findings and the lessons learned.

The evaluation of gender mainstreaming in UNDP was undertaken to identify gaps and further strengthen the UNDP approach to gender mainstreaming.

UNCTAD's work should be supportive of development goals, taking into account commitments undertaken by member States.
