I shall cite just two examples.

وسوف أسوق مجرد مثالين.

I shall inflict on him hardship,

« سأرهقه » أكلفه « صعودا » مشقة من العذاب أو جبلا من نار يصعد فيه ثم يهوي أبدا.

He said; fear not; verily I shall be With you twain: I shall hear and see.

« قال لا تخافا إنني معكما » بعوني « أسمع » ما يقول « وأرى » ما يفعل.

When a few years are come, then I shall go the way whence I shall not return.

اذا مضت سنون قليلة اسلك في طريق لا اعود منها

Then I said, 'I shall die in my own house, I shall number my days as the sand.

فقلت اني في وكري اسلم الروح ومثل السمندل اكثر اياما.

Then I said, I shall die in my nest, and I shall multiply my days as the sand.

فقلت اني في وكري اسلم الروح ومثل السمندل اكثر اياما.

He hath said in his heart, I shall not be moved: for I shall never be in adversity.

‎قال في قلبه لا اتزعزع. من دور الى دور بلا سوء‎.

Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

‎طهّرني بالزوفا فاطهر. اغسلني فابيضّ اكثر من الثلج‎.

He says in his heart, "I shall not be shaken. For generations I shall have no trouble."

‎قال في قلبه لا اتزعزع. من دور الى دور بلا سوء‎.

Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart.

‎فهمني فالاحظ شريعتك واحفظها بكل قلبي‎.

I shall withdraw from you and all that you call upon beside Allah. I shall only call upon my Lord.

« وأعتزلكم وما تدعون » تعبدون « من دون الله وأدعو » أعبد « ربي عسى أ » ن « لا أكون بدعاء ربي » بعبادته « شقيا » كما شقيتم بعبادة الأصنام.

I shall assuredly cut off alternately your hands and feet, then I shall crucify you all together. '

« لأقطعنَّ أيديكم وأرجلكم من خلاف » أي يد كل واحد اليمنى ورجله اليسرى « ثم لأصلِّبنَّكم أجمعين ».
