The computation of national staff costs is based on the G 3 step IV and NOA I of the national salary scale in effect from 1 May 2004 for national General Service staff and national officers, respectively, reflecting the actual pattern of expenditures during the 2004 05 period and distribution of national staff by grade level.

An additional 8 international and 6 national posts are planned for conversion in 2004 05 and a further 3 international and 9 national posts will become eligible for conversion in 2005 06.
