The 2003 figure shows an increase to 4.2 billion (see table 1).

The above table shows that the highest concentration of women diplomats occurs at the level of Counselor, which is the maximum intermediate level in the career, above which a bottleneck forms at the levels of First and Second Class Ministers.

The proposed financial plan sets planned regular resources expenditures (annex III, table 3) at a level that ensures continuous strict compliance with this requirement, as shown in annex III, table 5.

7. Decides that the least developed countries should be placed in a separate level and receive the highest rate of discount available under the scale

UNCTAD technical cooperation activities continued to be carried out on the basis of interregional, regional and country specific projects (see chart 3). Total expenditures from all sources in 2004 amounted to 27.5 million, i.e. about the same as in 2003 (see table 2).

On 30 March 1992, the author was offered a permanent appointment as Programme Officer A Scale A 10.

On 12 July 1991, the CBC reviewed the author's case and rejected his request for appointment to the post of Programme Officer A Scale A 10 but decided that he should remain on his old position of Programme Officer on the higher scale 8 9, as decided on 28 November 1985.

Experience with this indicative scale has so far been positive and has led to a significant increase both in the number of countries making voluntary contributions and in the level of their contributions to UNEP.
