The Counter Terrorism Committee will

Transparency in the work of the Committee

The first is a welcome deepening of the CTC's relationship with States.

Directs the Counter Terrorism Committee to

TPB's technical assistance activities are undertaken in full coordination with the CTC and its Counter Terrorism Executive Directorate (CTED).

We look forward to working with the CTC and the CTED in achieving that goal.

(B) Fight against the financing of terrorism The MONEYVAL (www.coe.int moneyval)

I welcome the efforts of the Counter Terrorism Committee of the Security Council to work with regional organizations in the struggle against terrorism.

In December 2004, the General Assembly adopted resolution A 59 153 which requests TPB to intensify its efforts to provide technical assistance in preventing and combating terrorism, including training judicial and prosecutorial personnel, where appropriate, in the proper implementation of the universal anti terrorism instruments .

The Government of Palau will furnish the CTC with the requested documents.

(h) Continue to ensure transparency in the work of the Counter Terrorism Committee.

The Committee has also established an active working relationship with the Chairman of the Counter Terrorism Committee and the Counter Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate.

It has played a beneficial role in that regard.

In addition, I should like to welcome the CTC's new members.

The Team has also passed this information to the CTC experts.

Nevertheless, the issue of how to make a real difference against terrorism goes further than the work or the competence of the CTC alone.

It had four subcommittees the Committee for Special Missions, the Foreign Intelligence Committee, the Counterespionage Committee and the Lebanon Committee.

In 2009, the International Trade Commission has been researching anti dumping laws.

Greece fully supports the open debates of the Council on the activities of the CTC.

(3) Nicaraguan Commission to Combat HIV AIDS (Law No. 238 on the Promotion, Protection and Defence of Human Rights in the context of HIV AIDS)

The League has prepared a document on that subject that will be transmitted to the Counter Terrorism Committee.

The CTC has many avenues for action, of which I shall cite two.

The CTC is successfully developing its cooperation with international and regional organizations.

The CTC would be grateful to be kept abreast of the latest developments in this regard.

We hope that that meeting will further promote cooperation between the CTC and the relevant organizations in the counter terrorism field.

We welcome the CTC's fourteenth 90 day work programme.

The CTC is designed to play a central role in the international effort against terrorism.

Japan has been participating in the work of the CTC as an interested State.

C. Cooperation with the Counter Terrorism Committee and the Committee established pursuant to resolution 1540 (2004)

The time between infection and symptoms, in those who develop them, is between two and six weeks.

Signs and symptoms Onset symptoms of infection can start from one to seven days after exposure.

Special thanks were due to the Global Fund, UNAIDS, Australia and New Zealand, which had provided much needed technical assistance and funding to help Fiji combat the rising rate of infection.

The CTC should appreciate it if Denmark would provide it with information concerning any further action taken by Denmark to strengthen its counter terrorism capacity and modalities for cooperation with other States to combat terrorism.
