Under this Order, a National Authority Advisory Body for Chemical Weapons Convention will be established and which will be under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Defence.

We also support the proposed Peacebuilding Commission as an advisory body.

Just as there is the Malvatumauri Council of Chiefs for chiefs, National Youth Council for youths and the National Children's Committee for children, there is a need for a National Women's Advisory Committee for women.

A national counter terrorism commission will also be established in the near future.

Progress has been made towards the establishment of a national human rights commission.

In the executive branch there is a ministerial level National Youth Commission.

Moreover, a national committee exists for the advancement of women.

The Committee on Contributions was an advisory body and it was for the Fifth Committee to indicate to it which subjects it should work on.

The Secretary General is proposing a provisional estimate of 1,172,500 for an independent oversight advisory committee (also referred to as the independent audit advisory committee to the United Nations (see A 60 568)).

There is a cross ministerial national committee for the social welfare of older persons chaired by the Minister of Health.

A National Committee was formed in September 2000 to prepare the first draft of the report. The committee consists of representatives from various governmental agencies and non governmental organizations.

As for IPO an Advisory Committee of individual experts was created. IPO is managed by a Secretariat composed by UNICRI and EUROPOL representatives.

Among them I might mention the ruling creating a national commission on penal and civil legislative reform.

In Mauritius, a national coordinating committee and relevant subcommittees were set up to oversee implementation.

Burkina Faso plans in the medium to long term to develop and implement a national plan of action for promotion of the family, and has already established a national committee for that purpose.

Pursuant to paragraph 164 (c) of General Assembly resolution 60 1, the Secretary General is submitting herein detailed proposals on the creation of an independent oversight advisory committee.
