(b) Rights conferred by patent and its infringement

Violations of these rights still abound.

This is my contribution to the civil rights fight of my generation.

One of the most central of these rights is the right to unionize.

All restrictions in labor relations are prohibited.

Freedom of movement was one such right.

Kennedy and Johnson, however, both supported civil rights.

Serbs and other non Albanians are deprived of all linguistic rights.

In South Africa, these matters were debated at the time it was decided to include socio economic rights in the Bill of Rights.

It expressed a myth according to which one of the parties only had obligations and the other only had rights.

Unfortunately, these rights are often violated.

Remedies for any violations of those rights were available through the courts.

For example, such measures could be extended to cover all of those who abuse the fundamental right of legal due process, such as the right to a fair trial.

As a signatory to nearly all the major human rights instruments, India had consistently promoted civil and political rights as well as economic, social and cultural rights.

Without this right, elections may not add up to democracy.

These rights include the recognition of our treaties, and the right to determine our own citizenship.

The laws protect property owners against any attempts to infringe on these rights.

No such rights exist for persons with disabilities in 12.3 per cent of responding countries.

Those rights remained unfulfilled because of Israel's failure to comply.

In its extensive written answer, the Government of Lebanon recognized the importance of cultural rights and cultural diversity and mentioned that it had taken all measures to ensure that every citizen benefited from these rights.

The goal of the rights based approach to development is to empower the rights holders, or the group that does not exercise full rights, and strengthen the capacity of the duty bearers, or the institution or government obligated to fill these rights.

The first chapter of the Rights of Woman addresses the issue of natural rights and asks who has those inalienable rights and on what grounds.

Freedom of expression protects all the other fundamental rights without it, freedom loses its sustenance and democracy is orphaned.

On a daily basis, at a great many international and scholarly conferences all over the world, we can hear learned debates about human rights and emotional proclamations in their defense.

None of the Guantánamo inmates has been granted these rights.

There is a general deficiency of rainfall. Rains are monsoonic in origin and fall late in summer.

Such an approach to sovereignty would essentially communicate to governments and their leaders that the rights and protections they associate with statehood are in fact conditional, and that governments and leaders would forfeit some or, in extreme cases, all of these rights and protections if they failed to meet their obligations.

It also investigated cases of human rights abuse and monitored respect for human rights within government institutions.

The Republic of Tajikistan is taking the necessary measures to provide equal rights to women and men in the area of education.

States may choose individually not to exercise all their rights, or to exercise those rights collectively.

However, the fact that for historical or other reasons some rights were reserved to nationals did not mean that non nationals, in law and practice, were denied those rights.

That right, unfortunately, includes drawing and publishing cartoons that may not please them.

Join us in adopting these rights, share it all over your neighborhoods, regions, villages and cities.

These rights may include provision of services such as health care, and exemption from taxation.

Those peoples should have the same rights and opportunities as the rest of the population.

To this end, the reinstatement of the democratic rights and the removal of anti democratic procedures were essential.

Not only have the two sets of rights been divided into two covenants with different and not equally strong supervisory bodies, but the character of the rights is also different.

(i) To promote the training of professionals and staff working with persons with disabilities in the rights recognized in the present Convention so as to better provide the assistance and services guaranteed by those rights.

5.5 Thirdly, the authors argue that they have more than sufficiently supported their allegations, more than sufficiently identified the rights protected under the Covenant, and more than sufficiently described the conduct in violation of those rights.

These and other rights are crucial to the full enjoyment by indigenous peoples of the right to education.
