105. Encourages Member States participating in the Junior Professional Officer programme to increase sponsorship of Junior Professional Officers from developing countries

The Section comprised five regular posts, as well as Junior Professional Officers.

(vi) The Junior Professional Officers Fund covers financial activities aimed exclusively at the recruitment, training and development of young professionals sponsored by various Governments.

During the period under review, the Witnesses and Victims Support Section, which since 2000 had been divided into two Sections, was merged into a single Section.

A total of 21 governments and one inter governmental organization have valid agreements with UNDP for the provision of junior professional officers (JPOs).
