They prepared the program content and methodology to be adopted for the new capacity building training that will be supported and directed by the assistance network in 2005.

It had also developed a network of vocational training centres in parallel with universities and other higher education establishments across the nation.

In this regard, OSS, working with the German Technical Cooperation Agency (GTZ), has created a virtual training platform on the Internet to establish a network of trainers, enhance capacity and maintain quality of training.

Currently, BOSCO focuses on developing and facilitating Web 2.0 training, online digital ethnography and collaborative online communication mediums between Internet sites.

For example, the Division of Finance and Administrative Management (DFAM) had placed financial and administrative reference documentation on an easily searchable website, had incorporated financial issues into the basic programme process training and made training courses available over the Intranet.

The training efforts in the State of Rio Grande do Sul, which involved 11 entities from 11 different municipalities, resulted in the establishment of the State Network for Justice and Gender (REJG).

(iii) Fellowships and grants (ROLAC) fellowships granted to cover costs to attend selected environmental courses and workshops under the Environmental Training Network Programme

It includes the establishment of an institutional framework for implementation, the development of national training and support capacities, support to selected entrepreneurs and enterprises, and the integration of the programme into a regional and international EMPRETEC network.

Since 1995, in cooperation with the Training and Evaluation Service of the Department of Peacekeeping Operations, this training has been provided through self paced correspondence courses, originally in the form of printed course booklets but now also on CD or as online downloads.

C. Training

This expansion of the ASTC network responds to current needs for training in all ICAO languages and in all regions and sub regions.

The training is undertaken in partnership with the non governmental organization, Citizenship, Study, Information and Action (CEPIA) and other institutions, which guarantees an open and democratic process, consolidating the policy of civil society participation and establishing a network of assistance services.

TrainForTrade

These national organizations provide training, tutor certification, and accreditation for local volunteer programs.

The level of training varies widely, from basic military training to Ranger school.

The training capacity comprises four departments the Training Department Infantry at Arlon, the Training Department Armour Cavalry at Leopoldsburg, the Training Department Artillery at Brasschaat and the Training Department Engineers at Namur.
