Comment by the Administration. A monthly budget update is available of all expenses incurred for training purposes.

At the September meeting, the Annual Programme Budget for 2006, including the Report of the ACABQ, and the recommendations on the biennialization of the programme budget were reviewed by the Standing Committee.

5. Emphasizes that the performance report should be submitted in a timely manner in order to allow Member States to analyse it and to facilitate budget preparation

The actions to be taken by the General Assembly are set out in paragraph 23 of the revised budget report (A 60 176).

He would have more to say on the subject when he introduced the Advisory Committee's first report on the proposed programme budget for 2006 2007.

(b) Conference services, administration and oversight (regular budget extrabudgetary) produce up to 400 audit reports for programme managers during the biennium review compliance by departments and offices with audit recommendations.

The increase is due to new requirements of the Peacekeeping Best Practices Section, for which information is provided in paragraph 69 of the budget report.

Chile has also systematically voted in favour of the resolution entitled The risk of nuclear proliferation in the Middle East , and we remain committed to the important ideas expressed in the fifth, sixth and seventh preambular paragraphs.

(a) Report of the Executive Director on the consolidated budget outline for 2006 2007 for the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (E CN.7 2005 8)

Consistent with financial regulations and rules, the performance report reflects the transfer of resources between budget sections related to the 17 redeployments.

It stated in its first report on the proposed programme budget for 2006 2007 (A 60 7) that the suspension had probably been too broad a measure.

Having considered the report of the Secretary General on the proposed programme budget outline for the biennium 2008 2009A 61 576. and the recommendations contained in the related report of the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions,A 61 615.

The full budgetary implications of the implementation of the recommendation in paragraph 30 of the report of the Special Committee will be presented to the General Assembly after its fifty ninth session.

The performance report on the budget for the period from 1 July 2004 to 30 June 2005 is therefore limited to financial resource performance.

The African Group supported the recommendations of the evaluation report in general, and in particular the recommendation to improve financial and budgetary planning, as well as to strengthen the evaluation process.
