(a) Regional centres for space science and technology education

These activities will include conferences and meetings projects dealing with the applications of space science and technology, the management of land, coastal and marine environments education and information activities the establishment of centres for space science and technology education and collection and distribution of literature on space science and technology.

It was a member of the International Charter Space and Major Disasters , hosted a Mission Control Centre for the international search and rescue satellite system, and supported the United Nations affiliated Centre for Space Science and Technology Education for Asia and the Pacific, based in Dehradun and Ahmedabad.

The Committee noted with satisfaction that the Centre for Space Science and Technology Education in Asia and the Pacific, which had been established in India in 1995, was celebrating its tenth anniversary in 2005.

Participants were informed about the regional centres for space science and technology education, affiliated to the United Nations, in particular the African Regional Centre for Space Science and Technology Education in French Language, located in Morocco.

So it's really very successful teaching children that they have a heritage that's about mathematics, that it's not just about singing and dancing.
