The SBI took note of the report of the workshop on the organization of the intergovernmental process, held in conjunction with the twenty first session of the SBI.

The creation of a task force and the implementation schedule have likewise been postponed.

The biennium, however, is part of a larger programmatic phase following the adoption of the Marrakesh Accords at COP 7, so the period since then was reviewed as a whole.

The SBI is currently considering how to improve the situation.

Nevertheless, the identification of these cases and the assessment of the way the emissions are estimated and neutralized may become a resource intensive activity that may not be justified by the value of the emissions that are counted twice.
