This is even more so, since one of the central features of the GATS is the fact that it allows for flexibility, particularly through the careful scheduling of commitments and limitations, which can also help to preserve the right to regulate.

Given the importance we attach to as broad as possible participation by States in informal meetings for the preparation of General Assembly draft resolutions, Australia wishes to express its concern at the numerous scheduling conflicts with other essential meetings this year.
