CAMBRIDGE China s current account surplus the combination of its trade surplus and its net income from foreign investments is the largest in the world.

America s net exports will have to increase, meaning that the net exports of China, Japan, and other surplus countries will consequently decrease.

In the later stages, the country becomes a net creditor, running an investment income surplus.

But whether renminbi appreciation will work depends on reducing China s net capital inflows and current account surplus.

While much of that investment will flow to the US, the surplus countries want to diversify their investment of these new net export earnings.

If China runs an investment income deficit with net assets of almost 2 trillion, how will it make the transition to an investment income surplus?

China, the world s growth superstar, has a huge current account surplus, which means that it is a net lender to the rest of the world.

In fact, 1992 was the first year in a decade in which Latin America enjoyed an import surplus financed by a net transfer of resources.

Sales promotional activities and other costs charged to the sales publications revolving fund of 26,576 resulted in a net surplus for the year 2004 of 11,152.

But they should be careful what they wish for, because a lower surplus and a stronger renminbi imply a day when China is no longer a net buyer of US government bonds.
