Ask yourself now, when was the last time you brought a meal from a restaurant for your driver or housemaid? And how often have you let the driver use your mobile phone to talk to his family, and what about the maid?

One time a friend told me (with pride) that he didn t let the housemaid clean the yard, out of fear that she would get the telephone numbers of the neighbours drivers. So she never left the house, and maybe never saw sunlight expect when putting out the clothes to dry on the roof.

The solution could be in managing time better such as in switching off the television between 5pm and 8pm, or drawing up a schedule for joint family activities, or for me to actually take part in doing housework, even just carrying out chores that I can do easily .. or anything else.. but I would say no to a housemaid (at least under the current circumstances).
