In 2002 the enrolment rate reached 50 per cent.

Within a decade, the primary school enrolment rate had more than doubled to 70 per cent.

The Government also aims for 100 per cent enrolment as part of the MDG targets for 2015, with girls' enrolment at 50 per cent.

Little enrolment by girls in technical and postsecondary education.
