Convention on the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources

For the International Union for the Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (IUCN), the conservation of natural resources and ecosystems is a fundamental underpinning of world food security and poverty alleviation.

Towards the implementation of its Conservation Measures, the Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources is increasingly cooperating with non contracting parties.

It links traditional conservation efforts to the economic goal of using biological resources sustainably.

It also means providing more resources to developing countries for environmental conservation.
