2. Notes, in this regard, that the Board recognized that its decision to retain its current size, and its composition and allocation of seats did not fully respond to General Assembly resolution 57 286 regarding the size and composition of the Board to achieve fairer representation

The audit was conducted in accordance with General Assembly resolution 74 (I) of 7 December 1946 and resolution 57 292, in which the Assembly requested the Board of Auditors to initiate oversight activities with respect to the development and implementation of the capital master plan and to report annually thereon to the Assembly.
