« إن هؤلاء » أي كفار مكة « ليقولون ».

These are the ones who found their fathers steeped in error,

« إنهم ألفوْا » وجدوا « آباءهم ضالين ».

Upon these are blessings and mercy from their Lord. These are the guided ones.

« أولئك عليهم صلوات » مغفرة « من ربهم ورحمة » نعمة « وأولئك هم المهتدون » إلى الصواب.

these are rightly guided by their Lord: and these are the ones who will prosper.

« أولئك على هدى من ربهم وأولئك هم المفلحون » الفائزون.

These are on ( true ) guidance from their Lord: and these are the ones who will prosper.

« أولئك على هدى من ربهم وأولئك هم المفلحون » الفائزون.

to God, these are the ones who really compete with each other in virtuous deeds and are the foremost ones in the task.

« أولئك يسارعون في الخيرات وهم لها سابقون » في علم الله.

But my personal favorite of these ones, I have to confess, does actually come from the United States: "Officers Taser 86 year-old disabled woman in her bed."
