فقال: إنني آثرت حب المال عن ذكر ربي حتى غابت الشمس عن عينيه، رُدُّوا عليَّ الخيل التي عُرضت من قبل، فشرع يمسح سوقها وأعناقها.

لم أستطع الخروج للعب كرة السلة وقت الراحة المدرسية دون أن أشعر كأنني على وشك الإغماء عند عودتي للداخل.

وبينما هما جالسان على المائدة كان كلام الرب الى النبي الذي ارجعه

And it was so, that when he had turned his back to go from Samuel, God gave him another heart: and all those signs came to pass that day.

وكان عندما ادار كتفه لكي يذهب من عند صموئيل ان الله اعطاه قلبا آخر. وأتت جميع هذه الآيات في ذلك اليوم.

And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots perceived that it was not the king of Israel, that they turned back from pursuing him.

فلما رأى رؤساء المركبات انه ليس ملك اسرائيل رجعوا عنه.

Then he said " Bring them ( horses ) back to me. " Then he began to pass his hand over their legs and their necks ( till the end of the display ).

For it came to pass, that, when the captains of the chariots perceived that it was not the king of Israel, they turned back again from pursuing him.

فلما رأى رؤساء المركبات انه ليس ملك اسرائيل رجعوا عنه.

And it came to pass, after he had eaten bread, and after he had drunk, that he saddled for him the ass, to wit, for the prophet whom he had brought back.

ثم بعدما اكل خبزا وبعد ان شرب شدّ له على الحمار اي للنبي الذي ارجعه

So set out thou with thy house hold in a portion of the night, and follow thou their backs, and let not one of you look back, and pass whither ye are commanded.

« فأَسْرِ بأهلك بقطع من الليل واتبع أدبارهم » امش خلفهم « ولا يلتفت منكم أحد » لئلا يرى عظيم ما ينزل بهم « وامضوا حيث تؤمرون » وهو الشام.

And there is none among you who shall not pass over hell; this is an obligatory affair, binding upon your Lord. ( Allah will make everyone pass over the back of hell – on a thin bridge. )

« وإن » أي ما « منكم » أحد « إلا واردها » أي داخل جهنم « كان على ربك حتما مقضيا » حتمه وقضى به لا يتركه.

And it came to pass, as he drew back his hand, that, behold, his brother came out: and she said, How hast thou broken forth? this breach be upon thee: therefore his name was called Pharez.

ولكن حين ردّ يده اذ اخوه قد خرج. فقالت لماذا اقتحمت. عليك اقتحام. فدعي اسمه فارص.

" Then travel by night with thy household, when a portion of the night ( yet remains ), and do thou bring up the rear: let no one amongst you look back, but pass on whither ye are ordered. "
