Marketing of the gas awaits the completion of the Alaska gas pipeline to carry it to the lower 48 states.

Russian gas is imported via Ukraine (Friendship pipeline), Norwegian gas is transported through Germany.

If completed, the Nabucco pipeline will make Iran an indispensable EU energy partner.

This principle of solidarity was missing when the decision to build a Baltic Sea pipeline to directly link Russia and Germany was taken.

Israel, like Turkey and the US, must be hoping that Turkmenistan s new rulers will seek to diversify gas distribution by adopting a project to build a gas pipeline beneath the Caspian Sea.

The international community must make clear that China s interests would be protected during a transition to a more open society in Burma, and that some version of the oil pipeline project will be supported by any new regime.

The planned Nord Stream gas pipeline on the bottom of the Baltic Sea is a good example of the problems that everyone in Europe is facing.

The prime example of disaggregation is the Nord Stream pipeline, which appeals to Germany while angering Poland and the Baltic countries.
