The Firearms Act

The Firearms and Ammunition Act 1990 regulates the importation, possession and handling of firearms.

The importation, exportation and licensing of firearms and ammunition are controlled under the provisions of the Firearms Act 1998 32, the Firearms Amendment Act 2002 12, the Customs Act Cap.

The implementation does not require amendments to the Firearms Act but the provisions on firearms offences in the Penal Code need to be supplemented.
