At least 125 countries have now adopted a multi year, comprehensive national immunization plan of action.

In that context, it encouraged the Comoros to consider the possibility of submitting a multi year payment plan.

Guinea Bissau was committed to paying its contributions to the United Nations and would keep the issue of multi year payment plans under continuous consideration.

The General Assembly may wish to take note of the present report and encourage Member States with significant arrears of contributions to consider submitting a multi year payment plan.

Together with the police forces the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations has developed a multiyear action plan for the period 2001 2005 to encourage diversity in the police and the LSOP (police training and knowledge centre).

UNHCR is also articulating a multi year operations plan (2005 to 2007) to facilitate the phased return of the 381,000 refugees from nine neighbouring countries, including 150,000 beneficiaries in the United Republic of Tanzania.

The Chair observed that participants had expressed wariness at introducing adjustments to the system and noted the need to avoid rushing to conclusions.

The banks' projects reflect multi year commitments recorded in the year in which they are approved but disbursed over several years.
