The present statement of programme budget implications identifies paragraphs in the draft resolution which potentially lead to expenditure requirements chargeable to either the programme budget or to the support account for peacekeeping operations.

As a result of the drawdown of the Mission, some military observers from certain Member States were repatriated after only 6 months instead of the normal 12 months projected in the budget.

These components, as well as the expected accomplishments within each of the components, have been reviewed by the General Assembly in the context of the initial budget of the Mission for 2005 2006 and remain unchanged.

As noted in paragraph 9 of the report, since the United Nations regular budget is subject to the approval of the General Assembly at its sixtieth session, the amounts projected in the proposed budget for UNEP for 2006 2007 are provisional.
