The strategic aim is to expand the promotion of improved hygiene and sanitation, while maintaining support for improved water supply services.

The Multi clinic in Athens provides not only accompanying supportive services, but medical support, too, aiming at reinforcing and encouraging immigrants and refugees, developing their social skills, and preventing their social exclusion.

The Division also provides limited administrative support to offices of other United Nations entities located at the Vienna International Centre, such as the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, the United Nations Office for Project Services, and to the United Nations Interregional Crime Research Institute located in Turin, Italy.

Under the Health Sustainability Initiative, an inter ministry group is reviewing the support service needs and looking at better ways to coordinate the provision of services.

Support for justice in the area of serious crimes

The functions to be performed by the Strategic Approach secretariat will be

These changes are progressing too slowly to offer UNOPS an immediate opportunity to become a predominant system wide support service provider to the wider United Nations family.

Costs for common support services are estimated at 10,400.

Support to these complex specialized information systems will be provided by the Executive Office, given the fact that they fall outside the scope of the Information Technology Services Division of the Office of Central Support Services.

The scientific personnel of the Offices of Social Support Services provide the following services

The administrative office of the Tribunal would provide services to the secretariat of the Tribunal in connection with personnel, budgetary and financial administration and use of common services, together with the relating administrative support to the Tribunal when it is in session .
