Introduction Mandate The Conference of Parties, by its decision 3 CP.8, paragraph 5 (a), requested the secretariat to compile reports of the meetings and workshops of the Consultative Group of Experts on National Communications from Parties not included in Annex I to the Convention (CGE) for consideration by the Subsidiary Body for Implementation (SBI).

The Code adds the materials not included in the Convention on the Physical Protection of Nuclear Material.

The Subsidiary Body for Implementation (SBI) took note of the oral report presented by the Chair of the Consultative Group of Experts on National Communications from Parties not included in Annex I to the Convention (CGE) on the outcomes of its fifth meeting, held in Montreal, Canada, on 24 and 25 November 2005, and welcomed the progress report on the activities of the CGE prepared by the secretariat (FCCC SBI 2005 22).

The total amount of aggregate GHG emissions for that year of the 122 Parties that have reported is 11.7 billion tonnes CO2 equivalent without land use change and forestry (LUCF) and 11.9 billion tonnes CO2 equivalent with LUCF.
