Upon enrolling students in the 10th grade, the state and municipal institution of comprehensive education has the right to hold entrance examinations in accordance with the national standard of primary education.

For the first time since 1993, the comprehensive examination held by the Palestinian Ministry of Higher Education was not conducted, because of restrictions on freedom of movement imposed by the Israeli authorities.
