The audit committee Charter has been reviewed and revised in line with the United Nations governance review.

The Department of Peacekeeping Operations was supporting numerous simultaneous audits and reviews of mission headquarters and field missions by United Nations oversight bodies.

Thought should therefore be given to system wide corporate governance principles, system wide revision of detailed accounting and financial disclosure standards and system wide basic management practices.
